Techstars Startup Weekend Aarhus is a hackathon for people excited about tech, startups, and innovation! Over a fun-filled 54 hours, participants pitch ideas, team up, and bring ideas to life. You’ll make new connections, meet mentors, and maybe even meet your future co-founder. Think of it as a turbocharged crash course, where you’re mentored by the best in the biz, all while turning your ideas into reality.

It’s all about creativity, teamwork, and making things happen!

FAQ

What language will the event be in?

The entire event will be in English. But don’t worry—Danglish is totally allowed!

Is this event for me?

If you are interested in startups the answer is most likely yes. Whether you are a serial entrepreneur or new to the startup scene, you’ll fit right in as long as you are motivated to build a product or startup and are open to new ideas. We believe that great ideas can come from anywhere.

Do I have to participate in all three days?

Yes, everyone who participates in the event is expected to participate in all three days. This is important not only to preserve your own learning experience, but also to minimize distractions or disruptions for the team you choose to join.

What about accommodation?

You'll need to sort out your own place to crash. We don't provide accommodation, but there are plenty of great options around town!

How do I prepare?

Practice your pitch: You'll have 60 seconds on Friday to persuade other participants to join your team. Prepare a positive attitude and openness to collaboration! And get some rest!

What should I bring?

Bring yourself, an open mind, and a willingness to collaborate and learn. It's also a good idea to bring a laptop and any materials you may need to work on your startup over the weekend. Delicious food provided all weekend long

Do I need to have pitch a business idea to participate?

No, you don't need to come to the event with an idea, but we highly encourage you to. Participants will have an opportunity to pitch their ideas Friday, and teams will form around the most promising ones.
